This Victorian Terraced stepped property with a loft conversion in a conservation area. On obtaining planning and undertaking the ground test is was discovered that the rear outrigger where the extension was to be constructed was sitting on the soft clay that made up the area.


Once exposed we underpinned the existing structure then went on to develop two new bedrooms and a bathroom for the client. Key feature was the rooflight at the top of the glass stairs that now pours light all the way down to the Ground floor. Phase two of this project is to provide a courtyard infill Kitchen and Diner to be completed in 2018.
